Last supper at village

It is good enough to just buy food and wine at a local grocery store. It will be a decent and nice meal in France.

Back to the village

And food

Shadow prison

Hotel Alexandra

A very right place to stay at Annecy. As positively commented in Trip-advisor, personnels there are polite, kind, helpful and informative at this hotel. They sometime offered assistance for me when they saw me in crutches.

Old part of Annecy

We want the next after next Winter Olympic Games!

If they manage to be selected, it will be the 4th Winter Olympic Games for France after Chamonix (1924), Grenoble (1968) and Albertville (1992). The vote will be taking place on July 6, 2011. Hope winning for them.

Yet another moving to Annecy

Saying good-bye to Grenoble and taking a train journey to Annecy via Chambèry early in that morning.

Wonderful world

It was superb at the top of the hill especially after exercising. No comparison to yesterday's grey sky.

Climb up to Bastille

It is warmer and clear sky today and my ankle in plaster says OK for a little bit tough exercise. Let´s climb up to the top of the hill with my buddies, crutches.

Smoggy overview

Going up to fort de La Bastille. It was a warm weather but a bit of pity that the sky was not super transparent.

Moving to Grenoble

It does not make sense to stay at a skiing village without being able to ski. So why not take a trip to cities nearby?

Moving to St Martin de Belleville

It is a lovely less populated skiing village and supposed to be a perfect place for skiing base. However, a little bit (less) snow problem due to early spring visit, I presume. It does not matter for me though.

Cathèdrale St-Jean and old town at night

Full and satisfied with local cuisine

Lyon in Blue

Notre-Dame de Fourviére

A huge cathedral so that hard to view everything within a picture frame.

Alps, skiing, supposed to be...

You know I had fallen down on the icy road when jogging on 21/2, which ended up with a broken ankle and the following surgery. This unfortunate incident happened 4 weeks before skiing trip to French Alps which had been planned long before and well thought through... However, my wife and me think positively and have decided to go there anyway instead of throwing away tickets. Something else like amazing scenery, good French food and day of drunk should be waiting for us there.
