And food was great!

And food was great and enjoyed last night at France before coming back to Scandinavia. A little bit too much cheese I ate during staying there for three nights but it should work fine for fixing my ankle.

Great food at Lyon

Since the workshop went well, I decided to have a good food at downtown in Lyon with a colleague. This restaurant served local Lyon cuisine and it is on the same street where I came for dinner with my wife when visited on March.

Grenoble again

Went to Grenoble again for workshop. It was cold as well there but I got adapted pretty soon maybe because I am used to Nordic climate.

Vilnius airport

Some aircrafts have never been seen before and kind of interesting. And time to say good-bye to Vilnius. It is another beautiful & interesting European city. Hopefully can come back again.

Back to the airport

Took train to the airport. It was pretty much brand new train and comfortable. However, just about 10 minutes journey. BTW, they say taking picture is not allowed within the station facility. I wonder why and what's gonna happen to me if I take?

Pilies street

Pilies street is one of the oldest streets in Vilnius. Good cafes and restaurants can be found there and we sometimes browsed and ate food and took a break for tea/coffee because our apartment was quite near.

Christmas season has begun!

People were flooding to the Cathedral square to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season. It was fun but very much cold. The young guy who is a son of the apartment owning family where we stayed said the temperature sometime reaches -25 degree. Fortunately it seems not -25 degree at that evening but anyway very much cold.

Christmas is approaching!

Yes another bulky food

Ate yet another bulky food. It is quite interesting food but to be honest too much. Weisbeer is great.

Vilnius unversity

Vilnius university was established in 1579 and one of the oldest universities in eastern Europe. It is open up for non-university students or faculty to look around in accessible areas. Unfortunately, one of the main should-be-checked facility, the university book store, was closed because of the end of the semester.

Cathedral

Three crosses hill

A monument dedicated for seven Franciscan monks. A very calm and dignified monument.

St Anne's Church

The old part of Vilnius may be large and there are lots of interesting architectures. Many of them are churches or facilities inspired by Christianity.

Full but still room for a chocolate cake

We are supposed to be full but amazingly still have room for a chocolate cake. Very much interesting interior within the cafe which we dropped in.

And lots of food and drink

Zeppelins is kind of potato based dumpling and bulky but good alternative to meat. Lithuanian beer is good quality. Tried Svyturio - Ekstra which good lager. Also don't forget to try their vodka.

Very much unique tea house

Frozen city square

The square in front of the city hall was completely frozen but children did not care or rather, they liked playing on the slippery square.

Vilnius

Took one day off to make a long weekend and visited Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. Although it was very cold, Vilnius is a lovely city with lots interesting architecture.
