Breakfast in the own room

A bonus at this Glasgow B&B is that Ron serves breakfast to your room. Meal is probably "lighter" than the typical Scottish one which includes two eggs, sausages or bacon or more likely both, black or white pudding or more likely both, beans and mushrooms; however we have appreciated this lighter version after eating that heavy weight version for 5 days in the row.

Scottish ale

I have ordered Deuchars for me and Harviestoun bitter & twisted for my wife. The both is so categorized as English IPA (India Pale Ale) and they are good pales, I think. For you who wants to know more about English IPA, see http://beeradvocate.com/beer/style/150

Glasgow central

Short visit to Glasgow central because we were starving and thirsty. Have been impressed by the Glasgow central station because it is huge with lots of platforms, which reminds me of the Tokyo station. Also it is very bright by the natural light.

Barrisdale Guest House

Ron who is running this B&B at Glasgow has provided us with a nice room with well functioning furniture and tasty drawings. He is very easy to talk with and besides, he is informative and helpful. Have understood why his B&B is given such top ranking by Tripadvisor.

West Highland Railway

Down to Glasgow by the West Highland Railway which is famous with its scenic landscape. Not bored during this 4 hours train journey.

Fort William

Have left Glencoe and a cozy B&B, we are heading for Glasgow. Short stop at Fort William which is well known for a base town for climbing or hiking or skiing at Ben Navis which is the highest mountain in the British isles.

Cheers after hiking

At the end, hiking in rain is not bad at all, we have found. We ate some food with British beer and cider at a local pub in the Kinlochleven village which is the base of our hiking.

Also checked the bottom side of the waterfall

Also don't miss the bottom side of the waterfall. Probably this side is more recommended generally because easy to access. As I said, the upper side is a little bit tricky to reach with some risk of falling.

Finally some blue sky

Further hiked up to an open space where we could finally see the blue sky, which is very much wanted and beautiful.

Extended hiking

We have extended hiking to Grey Mares Waterfall since we want and rain now completely stops falling. The path to the upper side of the waterfall is narrow, steep, rocky and slippery, so we must be very careful so that we don't fall down into the waterfall.

Feel better now

This man looks like feel kind of happy because it stops raining now.

Back on track and she is always right

Just followed my wife's hunch, we are now back on the right track and have managed to reach the destination which was taught by the landlord lady at the B&B. Atmosphere at this place is quite lovely especially because rain has made natural color more vivid.
