Harbor at night

Boat house

Stayed at a boat house which is very near from Eitunnel. A very unique experience. The owner is friendly and breakfast was good enough. The only problem was air conditioning because it was exceptionally warm even in early spring.

Canals and bridges

Hundreds of canals and bridges indeed.

Rembrandtplein

Met a world greatest painter at the square being given his name.

The great leader drinking tee, no it is coke

A special coffeeshop

They are selling special products but according to their law.

One of the oldest profession

Took train to Amsterdam in the morning.
A status of one of the oldest profession stands at the old part of Amsterdam.

Wanna try Sumo?

Something is odd for me.

Dutch pancake

Although I was completely full after no-light food and 2 pints of beer at a pub, she insisted in eating this. Although the waiter said less than 30 minutes before closing the restaurant, she insisted in eating. Sometimes I was astonished about her stomach.

At local pub

Quite and cozy atmosphere. The matured couple running this pub are friendly and kind. And one should try Heineken of course.

Hiking shoes

We bought two pairs of hiking boots for coming trip to Iceland and Switzerland. It was not cheap but good deal compared to price tags in Lund or Malmö.

Peace fire at Peace Palace

May the peace be with you.

Cherry trees in Den Haag

It was quite warm, which I believe were throughout Europe in that Easter holiday, and flowers blossomed in cherry trees. Very much peaceful day.

Tram passing through a building?

An interesting architecture.

Book shop at a square

One can guess what those books are about because it is a little close to Swedish.

Monopolish wall?

Wanna play this?

Den Haag

Moved to Den Haag where the Dutch government and other national political, jurisdictional functionality are located. Quite tired after walking around in Amsterdam by foot and late arrival to another place without eating food. We grabbed light meal at local McDonalds.

Anne Frank's house

You should not really miss this museum. This is another important witness of the mankind history. Do not be intimidated by the long queue. It was rather quick to be able to buy tickets and go through the gate in our case despite of the length of the queue.

I am Amsterdam

"I am Amsterdam" with lots of dots, spots or whatever...

Herring sandwich

Do not miss Herring Sandwich. My partner seems not fully agree but I think it's not bad and worth trying if you are there.

Pedals and Beer, aka No Pain No Gain

Boys, if you want to drink more beer, then you must pedal more! Wanna try?

Train went to broken and then fixed

Seems like an engine trouble at the driving car but fortunately, it was near to Netherlands, they brought a new driving car in less than one hour. The driver stuck out his fists and expressed his gratitude. "Ok, then I can get my job done, boys!"

Night train to Amsterdam

We took night train at Copenhagen down to Amsterdam during Easter holiday. When woke up and the train stopped at the border near Netherlands in Germany, we recognized that number of the cars connected to the train had been quite prolonged and moreover, they came from many different countries, Moscow, Minsk, Warsaw, Prague, etc.
