Took one week off, actually one week plus one day, we went to Chamonix via Geneve. We stayed at Geneve for one night before further going to the world famous mountains. Since very cold weather covered almost entire Europe at that time, it was very freezing in Geneve but this was just an epilogue to much colder experience.
